Dr. Murdoch blends experience, skills, honesty, and compassion, into her evidence-based care.
Dr. Lynda Murdoch is the Clinic Psychologist at Living Health. She obtained her master’s and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University, after quitting her former career as a lawyer. She has been a Registered Psychologist in BC since 2004.
She works both in government and here at Living Health and focuses on helping youth and adults work towards better mental health and better decision making.
Her goal is to help people think more clearly about the issues in their life that are interfering with optimal functioning. And then to take meaningful action.
She can be a non-judgmental, supportive confidante when you need someone to talk to, but also an advice-giver and motivator to push you towards change.
She loves working with people, and hates paperwork!
Dr. Murdoch sees clients with a variety of presenting problems, including: - anxiety disorders - depression - family conflict - childhood trauma - weight loss - insomnia - stress management The sessions typically involve supportive counselling, psychoeducation and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. Please note Dr. Murdoch does not do parenting assessments or other Court related assessments.
